Well seems like I was utter shit at keeping up with this. But I suppose the whole group of us was as well. Blogging is hard. And for those that do so regularly or for a career, major props to you. This whole project reminded me that I have commitment issues to things that I like to do. Aside from sleeping. Cause sweet mercy do I love sleeping.
Well, I'm sorry I was shit at this. To anyone that used to keep up with the posts and to those that also wrote and drifted away as well. I'll try to do better.
Because I really did enjoy it. And I still do. So I'll work at it again.

Silly
This will be silly and short. Mostly because I am unable to think of what to say right now.
But I still feel like this needs an update.
Today's lesson of the day for Sarah is not to take awkwardly timed naps. It results in her sleeping through dinner and having to rely on Nutella and bread for dinner.
Actually I don't mind I love Nutella. It is happiness.
I think I will end this here. I apologize that this post is so short and extremely unintelligent. I am using it as an excuse to avoid homework.
DFTBA,
Sarah and Nutella.

Lenguas y otras cosas
Languages. They are seem one of the most definite things that separates people across the world. But they bring people together as well. I find different languages to be truly beautiful. They are more or less living things. Languages are complex, ever growing and changing. Some languages have died out, lost over time, while others flourish and fluctuate in usage.
For some unknown reason I have decided to take on the task of learning two languages at the same time.
SARAH, Y U NO MAKE SMARTER DECISIONS????
Well, there is no real logical answer as to why I decided to take two languages courses at the same time. I'm just insane. That's really all it chalks up to, I'm crazy.
I reckon this probably seems silly to people living outside the U.S. From what I've learned (over my many wasted hours on the interwebs) a good chunk of the world (excluding the U.S.) knows two languages fairly fluently, if not three. So people not from the U.S. probably think that I am just being silly because being fluent in multiple languages is the norm. Basically, I've concluded that America sucks in the polyglotism department and we need to get on top of our game and that everyone should try to learn at least one other language outside of English.
Anywhoo, back to my trip down insanity lane. I decided to double major in Spanish and History. So because I am a Spanish major I am taking Intro German. I've taken Spanish for the past 7 years or so since 6th grade. Yurp. Logic at work right there. Well, actually for part of a language major at my college the requirements can include taking 12 hours of another language. So I will probably end up minoring in German. I just want to be able to communicate with as many different people as possible. I will probably try to take up a few other languages after I graduate, or at least the basics of some.
I doubt I'll be able to become fluent in all the languages I have listed in my head. But I'd rather try than not try at all.
Update on life begins here.
So out of like 20 eggs that my family rescued from the unintentionally neglectful ducks that live in our backyard, 2 have hatched. And let me tell you, CUTEST THINGS EVER. They actually hatched while I was away at school (I'd left 2 weeks early for RA training). So I decided to go home for about two days.
Yes, yes I did drive over 6 hours back home to see baby ducks.
Absolutely, perfectly logical decision. Also, I didn't get to say bye to my cat when I left for school. She was being a snob and ignored me when I left. The furry bugger.
Ignore the time jump.
Becky, I really enjoyed the Hunger Games series. I read all three books in two days this past summer. The books were easy to read and pretty entertaining in my opinion. They also addressed different things moral wise and such that I won't really get into because it's currently 3:30 in the morning and I don't have time nor the books to reference to. I will always be a die hard Harry Potter fan, but I am a Hunger Games fan too. (though I still have yet to see the Hunger Games movie....failure).
I am avoiding my homework and upcoming meeting at 7 a.m.
I am highly caffeinated with no plans to sleep because I napped earlier in the day and messed up my sleeping schedule.
I have Spanish and German to study...and Pre-Cal and American History... there are other classes too...
Oh my lanta so many things!
Sorry for my random ramblings, I had a lot to write about I suppose. I also read up on some older posts (haven't done that in awhile). I noticed that I've done the classic "haven't been here in awhile and I miss posting...I'll post more" in multiple introductions in my posts. Well enough of that nonsense. I'll actually dedicate more time to this like Becky and come back to the world of Justified Confusion.
Welcome back Becky, I've missed seeing other posts around the blog (:
Until another time.
Hasta luego, Tschüss, and DFTBA,

Hunger Games opinion
If you don't want the movie to be spoiled or the book don't read this..
Hunger Games
I really liked book one. It was written well and started the story off perfectly. The detail that they went into for the part of the story before the games was surprising but in a good way. I fell like a lot of times in books that are set in another culture or time the author or director doesn't spend enough time establishing that world. In Hunger Games you get a very good idea of what kind of world they are living one. A harsh one that takes these kids from their families and kills them. The capital loves it and treats it like we treat the olympics.
Because of the way the book was written (through the thoughts of Katniss) the death of Katniss wasn't an option. It never felt like it might of happened because there would be no way for the story to continue. If I were to write it, 1. the quality would suck and would be just terrible 2. I would have done it where you could see the games through other peoples eyes. But in the way that it was written you get to read a lot of good fanfiction.
I liked everything about it..
Now the movie..
Some people hate the movie because they changed things. but they didn't. The things that were changed were okay to me and I wasn't sad about any of them. I have had a couple arguments over the fact that they changed things like how Katniss got the pin. In the movie She got it from the mayors daughter. It really wasn't important to me. One other thing she was really angry about was that Peeta didn't get his leg cut off. It wasn't that important either. So I got very angry about this topic because she refuses to watch the movie at all because of all these things. And I keep telling her
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, the movie was fantastic. The Cinematography and the music and the set design and the casting was fantastic. Everyone did their job perfectly. "
The death of Rue was brilliant and I loved how they put in an uprising in her district when she died. It added a lot of power to the death. In the book Katniss talked about how it would be a controversy. That you weren't supposed to have a sad death in the games. This sent the message about how they had been desensitised about the games and how terrible this is
If you haven't read the rest of the books you might not want to read ahead
. That also was a genius idea because then it wont make the uprising in the next two books seem cohesive so it doesn't feel like, "Oh this is doing well. I better write another book with another plot so that people will buy my book"
In the movie its a sense of the storm that's coming. That soon the capital isn't going to have power over these people. I also enjoyed the parts they put in with Snow. Even though this doesn't happen in the books or anything it helps give people who haven't read the book see how terrible he is. It creates this tension and brings up the motif's that are much more prominent in the book about hope..
You can come back now...
I loved the book and the movie and they were everything I could hope for. And I stand my statement that this is going to be a big moment in literature and movies. To me this movie is like Star Wars was when it first came out. No one has really done this type of a movie. It isn't something that people like to watch really. It will be a turning page in media and I love the way that it brings up great messages about our culture and how much we rely on it.

I am turning over a new Leaf
Hello, my name is Becky and I used to be apart of this blog...
I am a terrible blogger. I mean really. I was totally into this whole collaborative blog and BAM I just forgot to post! It might have to deal with the fact that
At this point I have realized that I don't know how popular this blog is because I have been totally absent from it. So... yeah... awesome.
Things that I have been up to are... nothing. Well that isn't true. I have been on summer vacation for the past couple of months and I am getting ready to go back to school. As we speak I am writing this at my high school registration.
In the end of September I will be going to Disneyland again with my sister! We will be going for the Halloween party at disneyland and I am very excited.
There isn't much to say at the moment but I promise I will blog more often.

I am a terrible blogger. I mean really. I was totally into this whole collaborative blog and BAM I just forgot to post! It might have to deal with the fact that
- I get side tracked on the internet
- I am busy blogging on tumblr
- I almost failed some of my classes last term (And my mother refuses to let that happen again so Junior year is going to be great with my entire family breathing down my neck.)
At this point I have realized that I don't know how popular this blog is because I have been totally absent from it. So... yeah... awesome.

Things
There are many things in this world that are wonky.
For example, the giant scandal involving a fast food company called Chick-Fil-A, political beliefs, and religious beliefs.
The whole story goes like this-
Basically, same sex marriage has not been 100 percent approved by the US's government. A CEO of the fast food company supports "traditional marriage" and donates money to a Christian organization. A former governor decides to stir the controversial pot by creating an "appreciate Chick-Fil-A day" which turns into a "pro same sex marriage or not day". The whole argument takes place on Facebook. Radicals on both sides are mad. A chicken sandwich does not influence one's beliefs. The end.
So yeah. This whole hullabaloo that is going on makes no sense to me. I personally could care less who wants to marry who.
As far as I'm concerned, whatever makes you happy makes you happy.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Not everyone will agree with you.
For every person that thinks you are right, an equal amount of people probably exists with opposite opinions.
If you have a certain opinion or belief that you want supported by your government, don't back it with a combo meal, back it with the constitution.
In the end just respect each other folks, you aren't required to agree with anyone.
Just agree to disagree.
DFTBA,
Sarah

Awkward
The ducks in my lake are awkward. They laid eggs but abandoned them. We are now trying to hatch 8 eggs.
